A Few More Of The Wonderful Reasons Why Bryce Canyon Tours From Las Vegas Are Different

August 5th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Travel and Leisure

Bryce Canyon National Park is perhaps the most beautiful of America’s five national parks in the State of Utah. It shows vacationers breathtaking views of the ancient rock formations and stunning amphitheaters that were created over millions of years of weather caused by ice, snow and water. For those visitors needing a break from the busy attractions so famous in the city of Las Vegas, Bryce Canyon Tours from Las Vegas may be just the option that they are looking for to add a little down to earth sightseeing to their vacation.

Utah has 5 national parks, Bryce being the smallest, spanning a region of only 36,000 acres. Possibly overshadowed by the larger and more famous Grand Canyon and Zion National Parks, when compared to natural splendor, Bryce is second to none. It’s modest size, fantastic views with vibrant colors, and the accessibility of its trails makes it one of the best recreational areas to see by foot.

One of the main attractions is the huge Bryce Amphitheater. It is from here that most visitors to the park choose to see the striking freestanding rock formations called ‘hoodoos’ named by the Paiute Indians that populated the area long ago. The Paiute Indians once thought of the rock formations to be that of the Legend people of the historical past, who were turned to stone due to the bad deeds that they had committed. An interesting legend to believe or not, walking on one of the Amphitheater’s four major trails allows you the opportunity to see the sculpted rocks from close up.

Running for about 5.5 miles along the cliff above the Bryce Amphitheater, is the Rim Trail. This amazing trail presents some awesome views, while connecting the five biggest viewing points of interest along the length of the rim. Between the Sunrise and Sunset viewing points, it’s flat enough for wheelchair accessibility.

You can find The Queen’s Garden Trail at Fairyland Point, where it begins and ends. It descends for a distance of 1.7 miles below the Rim, no doubt making it by far the least difficult path. Its a great location to see the Queen Victoria and Queens Castle rock formations.

Another circular trail is The Navajo Loop Trail, which begins and ends at Sunset Point, running below the Bryce Rim for a distance of under one and a half miles. On this path, you’ll pass through a narrow gap between sheer cliff fronts known as “Wall Street”. Also visible from this walk are the rock formations know as The Silent City, Temple of Osiris and Thor’s’ Hammer. This is an enjoyable trail to be on as you walk along finding all of these really cool points of interest.

The Fairyland Loop Trail is thought of as the most arduous, credited for to its eight-mile length and periodic vertical stretches. The trail runs from Fairyland point, down through Fairyland Canyon, then works its way back up again along the China Wall, until it finally runs over the Rim Trail and back to Fairyland Point. On the segment passing alongside Fairyland Canyon, at about mid-point in the trek, is Tower Bridge Junction. A short trail leads from it to the Tower Bridge rock formation, a resemblance to an actual castle.

Fairyland Point gets fewer travelers than the other observation spots because it is somewhat off the beaten track. Most visitors prefer it that way. The main attraction here, though, is the fact that it offers absolutely stunning sights that you can’t get at any other spots in the park. The Sinking Ship formation, as well as the tallest hoodoo in the park, the Boat Mesa, are both visible from it. You’ve come this far, you don’t want to miss this spectacular spot.

The Bryce Amphitheater is only one part of the park that you can explore and you’ll soon realize that one trip isn’t enough. After you get back home, you may wish to look at additional Bryce Canyon Tours from Las Vegas to add to your adventure experience.

Concierge To The Rescue Once Again!

July 28th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Travel and Leisure

This is a great story of just how wonderful it is having your own personnel concierge. My wife recently was en route to a meeting that was two hours from home. She was just starting to enter the city limits of Minneapolis and was faced with a road closed due to construction sign.

Everyone was now being dumped into the city. Being unfamiliar with the city streets, and absolutely no detour signage to rely on, she was in a jam. Her meeting was scheduled at 8:30AM and time was slipping away. Fortunately, we have free concierge service from the travel and vacation booking website. She picked up her phone and called them right away for help.

What, you never heard of such a thing? Here’s the deal, it’s awesome. Anyone
who books an airline ticket through this web site gets 30 minutes of free concierge service. This was a moment that it became priceless.

Now, returning to the story, she is on the phone talking to the concierge. He is calm, and calming her down too all the while beginning to understand what is at issue. Timing was everything at this point and he knew just what to do.

The concierge is always sitting in front of a computer, and before long had researched the Minnesota highway department’s web site for road closures. Apparently the highway department failed to tell anyone about this closing. Not good! The concierge began to give her step-by-step guidance back to the highway on the other side of the city.

It took her 30 minutes to maneuver through the city. What’s really impressive is that the concierge stayed with her the entire time. This reassured her that someone was there to help. Are you getting this? That’s Priceless!

This event completely sealed the belief we now have in this company and it’s services. It has the best deals on travel and vacations, the best customer service and a bunch of free and very useful tools. We will use it exclusively to book all of our travel. A big thanks to the company!
