Southern California’s premier dining destination, where cuisine and atmosphere meet in perfect harmony, will soon be opening its doors in a new location. Iron Wok Asian Bistro will soon be open in Tijuana’s premier shopping center, the Galerias Hipodromo. And to ensure that Iron Wok Asian Bistro creates the most memorable environment, they have hired the services of AGL Architects.

Pedro Garcia De Leon Fimbres of AGL Architects is well known for his outstanding ingenuity and will offer the perfect addition to the Iron Wok team. Together, Pedro Garcia De Leon and the team at Iron Wok Asian Bistro will create a dining and entertainment experience like no other.

The new Iron Wok Asian Bistro will be located at the Galerias Hipodromo in Tijuana just south of the boarder. Galeras Hipdromo will be an entertainment capitol anchored by a Wal-Mart Supercenter and other well known establishments. It will feature a 12 screen Cinepolis Movie Theatre for entertainment, and will have over seventy thousand square feet of additional shop space for restaurants, specialty shops, and family oriented entertainment for thousands and thousands of people. Galeras Hipdromo is being designed and developed with vanguard architecture and unique engineering ideas that will transport all visitors to a place of tranquility away from the busy city.

History of Thailand

Also known as “The Kingdom of Thailand,” this fascinating country has a story filled with rich tradition, bloody revolutions, religious disagreements, and many other complications. Despite the turbulence, today Thailand is regarded as a popular tourist destination and has achieved a formidable economic and political presence in today’s global village.

Sukothai is the namesake of today’s Thailand. In the first place known as a Buddhist religious territory, the area was once divided up in many different kingdoms – including, Lanna, Sukhothai and Lan Chang amidst others.

It took time for Modern Thailand to emerge from it troubled past. By the 1700s King Rama the Great was in power who created the Chakri dynasty and Bangkok was made the capital of Thailand.

This is the period also has been called the Enlightenment era and even the Modernity era. It was the time that western civilizations were colonising many countries around the globe, and South East Asia was on their shopping list. Thailand was the only Southeast Asian country that did not get taken over.

With Thai great leaders in control, Thailand kept its independence, but most importantly its identity . While all around countries like Laos and Cambodia were being taken over.

In the early part of the 20th century a new constitutional monarchical government was put in place. The structure of government took on a completely new structure and the countries surrounding Thailand impacted Thailand’s economy in a number of ways, the face of Thailand was changing

Perhaps the last event to have a notable impact on Thailand’s course for the 21st century was the well known Asian Financial Crisis, which hit all of Southeast Asia but affected Thaland more than perhaps any other country in its wake.

At the moment Thailand continues to be troubled with internal political squabbling. However, it still remains focussed and on course for better times. Even during the credit crunch times Thailand remains optimistic and positive. Thailand’s future will depend on how quickly it can resolve its internal differences and move forward with new change and s open mind.
