Common Bidbutler Mistakes in Swoopo

March 20th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Auctions

Almost all of the winning Swoopo bidders use the Bidbutler tool to handle their bids. However, the use of the software is not that easy. Most user commit mistakes due to unfamiliarity of the tool’s settings. Also, familiarity and knowing the presence of a Bidbutler is a problem for most new Swoopo bidders. This results on wasted bids and lose of money. To summarize, here are the two most common Bidbutler mistakes:

The first silly mistake is bidding above 10 seconds. If you want to lose money fast in Swoopo, do this one. This gets worse if a Bidbutler is involved. Here’s the reason. BidButlers are programmed by Swoopo to bid at a random time between 10 seconds and 1 second left on the auction clock. Swoopo has BidButlers work this way so other Swoopo bidders don’t know when the BidButler will trigger.

What happens is that when you submit a bid as the clock is OVER 10 seconds, you’re not waiting long enough to see if a BidButler will bid. You have to check it first.

The second silly mistake is getting in a bidbutler battle. If ever you encounter this scenario, it is best just to stay back and wait. The problem with the newbies in Bidbutler is setting it up expecting it to perfectly do the bids. They set it to spend 10 to 20 bids in an auction and watch in horror as their Bidbutler ran out of bids instantly and also causing the auction clock to soar up to 10 to 15 minutes.

What did they do wrong? Well, they didn’t observe. Know that Before setting a BidButler, observe how many other bidders are in an auction and how many are using a BidButler. If there’s a BidButler that’s been active in an auction for 50 or more bids, you wait. Instead of setting a BidButler, wait for other bidders to run that BidButler out of bids.

Then, when you’re ready to jump into the auction, use the method “BidButler Layering” to test the waters and see if other BidButlers are currently set in an auction.

You might be asking what is “Bidbutler layering”. Well we can’t give all info for free. Discover it by registering for the Swoopo manual today and learn other cool Swoopo bidbutler strategies to help you win big in Swoopo.

The Swoopo Manual explains the BidButler Layering technique mentioned above as well as the other advanced techniques that Swoopo pros use to win BIG.

Swoopo Bidding: The Don’ts

March 13th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Auctions

Aside from using the basic bidding strategies, we also need to remember a few important tips about what NOT to do when bidding on Swoopo. These are just as important as the basic rules so violators beware!

Don’t Forget the Golden Rule

First up is the Golden Rule which I can say is somewhat similar to our known golden rule. This rule in Swoopo states: never pay over retail price for anything on Swoopo. The problem though is that this gets violated on a semi-regular basis on Swoopo. Bidders actually get a hang that they forgot how much they are spending already and also forgot that they are already above the limit.

Now remember that I’m not talking about the cost of bids. I’m only talking about the current product price. If you find this number getting close to or exceeding the worth up to price of an item, bail out! You could check other products sites like Amazon and order the same product for the same price or cheaper.

The Post-BidButler Battle Bid

Try saying that three times fast: The Post-BidButler Battle Bid, the Post-BidButler Battle Bid, the Post-BidButler Battle Bid. As I mentioned earlier, if two BidButlers are triggered at the same time, a BidButler Battle ensues. The cost of the item and the time on the clock both soar. It’s not unusual to see 10 minutes or more added to the auction clock after a BidButler battle. A common error I see time and again is a bidder jumping in immediately after the BidButler Battle with single bids while the auction clock still shows several minutes. Do not go hand in hand with a Bidbutler that has just emerged victorious on a Bidbutler battle.

Don’t Start Bidding Unless You Have Time To Spend on an Auction

This rule is for all the busy folks especially our working bidders out there. If you know you’ll need to leave your computer after only a few minutes, do not start bidding. It is because a typical Swoopo auction can take well over a day. That doesn’t mean though that you need to set aside 24 hours to start bidding. No, most auctions will only be truly competitive for a few hours. A good rule of thumb to use is never start bidding on an auction unless you can devote at least two hours to it. Yup, two hours.

Also, you probably won’t need to pay attention the entire time. A BidButler Battle could give you much needed bathroom and snack breaks of ten minutes or more. But you don’t want to be pulled away from an auction after you’ve already invested your hard earned money in bids.

You might disregard these three rules later on but I suggest you do not as it has a big impact on how you handle and strategize your bids. You could also learn more and be updated with the Swoopo strategy community forum.

How to Find Wholesale Sources for Your Ebay Auctions

March 11th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Auctions

EBay is a great place to find almost any item that you can imagine. Jewelry wholesale auctions are quite common on eBay, and in many cases, you cannot beat the deals that are offered here. However, there are also many con artists that operate through eBay, and you have to use caution.

Start by reviewing all of the details about the jewelry wholesale auctions that you are interested in buying. If you still have questions, send those questions to the seller through eBay’s site. Make sure that you keep all of your contact information with the seller through the site so that there is proof.

Check out the person that is offering the jewelry wholesale. Look at their ratings and their positive feedback. Has there been any negative feedback? If so, you may want to reconsider your options and look into other jewelry wholesale auctions. If the feedback is all positive, and the seller’s rating is high, doing business with them should not be a problem for you.

Make sure that you are clear about shipment costs and the shipment time frame, as well as the payment options offered. Usually, the buyer is responsible for the shipment costs, and this is added to the total and paid before the item ships. In the case of high ticket items, insurance may be required on the item as well. The seller seldom pays the shipping costs.

If the jewelry wholesale is a very high ticket item, such as jewelry that is bought in bulk or rare pieces of expensive jewelry, you should strongly consider using the escrow service that is recommended by eBay.

Beware of sniper’s on eBay! Sniping is against the rules at eBay, but a large group of people do it anyway. Sniping is automatic bidding, which is not against the rules, but the software or service is instructed to place the highest bid in the last possible minute of the auction. This leaves no time for anyone else to place a higher bid.

Instead of sniping, place your first bid at the maximum amount that you are willing to pay for the jewelry wholesale lot. Each time the bid is raised, your bid will automatically be raised until your limit is reached. This is not sniping, and it is a perfectly legal way to bid on auctions at eBay. This way you still have a chance to win the auction at a price you decide beforehand.

Glass Artwork Paperweights

March 11th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Auctions

My friend has a shop that sells glass artwork. My personal favourite glass artwork is paperweights and I have a lot of fun attending art auctions and buying art glass with her. We pay a lot of attention to what our friends and her clients like and dislike.

I usually give people art glass paperweights that I find at art auctions for milestone birthdays and anniversaries. My mother turned seventy last August and I found a magnificent glass paperweight for her.

The art glass paperweight that I bought for my mother was made by Baccarat and I was extremely lucky that this was one of the last things auctioned. A lot of people had already left the auction when this item went on the block. My mother really liked the rose design because the rose is her favourite flower.

I have a Dutch friend from Den Bosch who loves effigies of frogs. She has been able to decorate her abode very stylishly with her favourite frogs. I have been on the lookout for an art glass paperweight for her for years. I eventually found one at an art auction last year. The glass paperweight showed a frog sitting on a lily pad surrounded by blue water. It was very pretty and my friend began using it on her desk straight away.

I also have an aunt who collects art glass paperweights. She has asked me very often to find glass paperweights for her when I am attending art auctions. Of all of the pieces I have bought for her over the years, one sticks out in my memory more than any other.

The prettiest art glass paperweight I have ever bought at an art auction has to be one that featured a blue and gold Macaw. Rick Ayotte was the artist that created it and it was even featured in a book of his work. He has created many beautiful art glass paperweights.

There is no difficulty at all selling art glass paperweights made by Rick Ayotte. His work seems to draw a great deal of interest. My friend tries to win any auction she finds for art glass paperweights made by him. She won one not so long ago that looked like pink roses. They looked so delicate and sweet. I know that this art glass paperweight will sell quickly.

There have been some inquiries at the shop for art glass paperweights by Richard Marquis, although we have not found any in any of the art auctions we have been to recently.

I will keep looking out for art glass paperweights at the auctions I attend, but I will not be going way out of my way to track them down. I now buy every art glass paperweight I can find that was made by Rick Satava. My favorite has to be the coral orange jellyfish that I found at an art auction an hour from my home. It was really beautiful.

The Suggested Auction Types for Swoopo

March 2nd, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Auctions

Bidding in Swoopo not only involves knowing the right bidding strategy. It’s also on knowing the type of auction to bid with. This is important for beginners as Swoopo has different kinds of auctions which might be very confusing. It is important to know which one to bid with so you will be utilizing your bids well. Here are my suggested Swoopo types of auction that you can bid on.

1. Beginner Auction – as the name says it, this auction type is recommended for starters. It’s because the competition here is less fierce. You just have to be observant and careful though as some expert and pro bidders might get interested in bidding on these auctions.

2. Penny Auction – bidding in Penny Auctions only cost you 1 cent per bid so you won’t spend much in this type of auction, as compared to a normal auction where each bid is 12 cents.

3. Nailbiter Auction – likely a pro’s auction type, Swoopo Bidbutler (bidding automation software) is prohibited here, you solely rely on your bidding and clicking skills. Bids here are done manually so you must be attentive and take your time with each bid.

4. Local Auctions – local auction type only allow Swoopo bidders from a specific country to participate in, which is shown with the relevant country flag on that auction. This local bidding limits the number of competition to that specific country so there’s an increase in your chance to win your bids.

So these are the suggested auction types for starters to bid with. Take note that there are other Swoopo bidding strategies to learn and utilize in order to win in Swoopo. If you need to learn more, just visit the Swooper community website and look for the Swoopo Manual free trial course.

Car Auctions In New York – Why You Need To Go These Events

February 28th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Auctions

Are you looking for a second hand car? Why not visit car auctions in New York, then, where you are most likely to stumble on some great finds?

New York is a big city, one of the biggest in the world, in fact. It’s also very popular as almost everything (from finance to the arts) is centered in New York. It also hosts a number of car auctions, much to the delight of car enthusiasts.

Indeed, New York car auctions are fast becoming very popular these days, maybe because of the financial crisis that continues to rock the nation. While not meaning to glorify the crisis in any way, it cannot be denied that it has changed the spending habits of more Americans. Many of them have become more practical in the sense that they would opt for second used vehicles of good quality than brand new luxury cars.

Car auctions feature cars, trucks, and SUVs that have been repossessed by financial institutions for their owner’s failure to pay their monthly dues or seized by the government from criminals. With the worsening financial crisis, cars being repossessed are growing in number, and so do car auctions anywhere in the US.

Car auctions in New York are not just for those looking for second-hand cars. If truth be told, quite a number of the vehicles featured in these car events are no longer in good condition. However, some of them have parts that can be easily repaired and restored so you may be able to resell them at a good price. Other cars, while no longer road-worthy, have parts that are still running well, and these you also can re-sell.

Maybe you haven’t gone to a car auction before, in which case you will certainly be able to make good use of this free information. A very important thing to remember is to set a budget of how much you are willing to spend and can actually afford. You see, once the auction starts, it can be tempting to go beyond your budget.

Also, if your purpose of going to these events is really to buy a second-hand car for your personal needs, then do take time to attend pre-bid events. These are events that enable you to have a closer look at the car and even test drive it. Sometimes, it helps to bring along someone who is very knowledgeable about these things.

Take advantage of car auctions in New York, but be wise enough to know your limitations, too.
