Beijing – A Good Place to Travel
I have stayed in Beijing, the capital of China, for one month last year for an exchange program. The Olympic Game was held after I left, so I can enjoy my trip without jamming with the crowd.
My accommodation was in Tsinghua University, as I was having an exchange program there. The University is very nice as the views there are very beautiful. Many celebrities of China have studied there. So if you are going to Beijing, don’t forget to visit this University!
Beijing is quite hot in summer, but travelers love this kind of weather, right? Beijing snows in winter, hence it is more suitable to visit Beijing in summer, than in winter, personally I think. When I was there, I went everywhere with friends to find out the beauty of Beijing.
There are many interesting places to go in Beijing. For history lovers, you must go to the Great Wall and the Forbidden City! They are so marvelous and grand! But of course China does not only have interesting history.
If you are a shopaholic, shopping malls are everywhere in Beijing, and there are many not costly traditional Chinese souvenirs especially on ‘Wangfujing Street’, you can buy many things with a very cheap price!
If you like to eat delicious food, Beijing can fulfill your wants! You must eat Beijing roast ducks! They are really very delicious. If you want to eat special snacks, there are many little stalls in ‘Wangfujing’ and you should try all the delicious things there. If you are brave enough, my favorite suggestion is fried scorpion! They are very crispy!
If you are an artistic person, you must go to ‘798 Artwork Zone’! There are many masterpieces of different styles there. You can spend more than 2-3 days there. It is a very nice place to go and there are many bars nearby too!
There are many more interesting things in Beijing. I just cannot list out all of them. If you are planning a trip, why not make Beijing your next stop? I am sure you will have fun there with a very low cost!
