Reviewing the Panasonic DMP-BD60 Model

May 12th, 2009 Posted in Shopping and Product Reviews

Panasonic’s newest release of Blu-ray players is the successor to the older DMP BD35 and is made with all the features that were liked on the older model, just tweaked and fine-tuned a bit. It also has a huge VIERA Cast add on. This new add on will give you access to many media outlets and up to date weather and stock coverage as well. In reviewing the Panasonic DMP-BD60 model, lets explore what it does and does not offer.

However, VIERA Cat may not be offer enough when compared to the Video On Demand of on Amazon that is set to appear in may of 2009.There has also been current add ons such as connections for Wi-Fi, Netflix, and even offers of extra memory space to most Panasonic Blu-ray players as of late, but I feel as if this may still not be enough in lending them a hand in such a competitive market.

Then again, you’re looking at a system that has great performance potential for users around the world. Unfortunately, there will be some individuals searching for the latest craze and may pass on the Panasonic DMP-BD60. Can the new technological and futuristic design draw consumers closer to the product? Not likely.

When you search other products like the new Samsungs and LG models of the world, the Panasonic DMP-BD60 looks ancient. See, this model isn’t set up for futuristic detail and our sarcasm is appropriate for the situation. Let’s just say you won’t find too many sales coming from the design, but more so in the performance department. It works great, there haven’t been any “out-of-the-gate” issues, but the looks aren’t doing it any justice.

The only way to truly find out how good the Panasonic DMP-BD60 Model is, is by trying to find customer reviews. Testimonials are always important because it gives you a sense of what to expect before forking out the money for this product. While this is the biggest downfall, you will also find several others complaining about the functions that become irritating at times. This has to do with gaining entry to certain areas, then switching to others.

The biggest concern outside of the look, is the amount of space available. Many consumers aren’t happy about having to make an additional purchase in order to get the necessary space. Then of course it’s ability to playback Divx and Xvid files has become a prime conversation on just one of the reasons why you wouldn’t want to go with the Panasonic DMP-BD60 model.

So if you’re looking for different kinds of content online, it might not be the best product for you. However, if you need something that is reliable for standard viewing, it’s the best option out there. Oh, and don’t forget about the VIERA Cast. Even though it may not offer as much as people want at the moment, Panasonic has left a lot of room for improving it. In the near future you could find yourself thinking it’s the best product out there to date. Only time will tell.

You have to decide if you want all the features that are available today including a sleek design, or something that does its job and allows you to do everything you enjoy in a player. Can the Panasonic do this for you? Sure, but is it something you want to decorate your home with from now on. The choice is yours, and since you’re the one that has to live with the decision, we can’t help you out there.
